LNP Budget Reply Commitments

The number one priority for the State Opposition is to see Queensland regain its AAA credit rating. The Government’s mismanagement of the economy, a refusal to listen to warnings from the financial markets and failure to put in place a debt repayment strategy saw Queensland stripped of its AAA credit rating – that decision alone is costing taxpayers $1.2 billion in extra interest payments.
