Labor widens the health gap

PUBLIC hospitals and other public health facilities across five Queensland Health Districts were short-changed by the Bligh Labor government by $322 million last year, documents obtained by the Opposition* reveal.

LNP Shadow Health Minister Mark McArdle said the Bligh government was not allocating funding to regions most in need – with Cairns, the Gold and Sunshine Coasts and Darling Downs / West Moreton suffering severe shortfalls.
